The hotel building is a part of medieval monastery complex founded in the middle ages by the Jesuits, occupied by the Secret Police during the Communist regime and still inhabited by the Grey Sisters of Mercy, with the church of St. Bartholomew diligently renovated thanks to the funds granted by H.R.H., the Prince of Wales.
