The Residence Retezova is in the very heart of the Old Town city centre, just a few steps away, on the cobbled streets of the famous “Astronomical Clock”.

The renovated houses in Retezova Street date from the 14th century and one of them (No. 3), originally a much older structure, was home to the land administrator George of Podebrady until 1458 when he was elected king of Bohemia.

It is surrounded by the most significant historical landmarks of Prague.

If you decide to stay at the Retezova Residence in Prague’s Old Town, you will certainly be pleasantly surprised.

When you enter the Retezova Residence, you can see how the building has developed in the course of centuries. While the ground floor features well-preserved Gothic vaults and authentic stone door jambs, the upper floors display magnificent painted Renaissance wooden ceilings dating from the early 17th century.

All the nine four-star suites, however, provide sophisticated comfort, well hidden in their stylish furniture and harmoniously complementing the historical interiors.

The Retezova Residence will enchant lovers of romance in particular, since its intricately articulated space contains intimate corners, mysterious staircases running up or down and leading to cosy bedrooms.
Some of the rooms even have direct access to a small garden. Some of the rooms even have a working woodfired fireplace.
Air-conditioning, Internet access, satellite TV and a range of other facilities are naturally a given.
But you do not need to spend your holiday cooking, of course, as you can have your breakfast in the neighbouring Café Ebel, which is accessible directly from the hotel’s reception.

If you come by car, you can ask the receptionist to arrange parking for you in the underground car park in the nearby Rudolfinum.
